Key figures on European countries are easily available from SOTKAnet

The newly extended data content of SOTKAnet covers key social and health care data that can be searched on the level of European countries. The data are mostly derived from Eurostat databases. The new indicators can be accessed on the SOTKAnet search page by choosing European indicators from the 'Choose an indicator group' drop-down menu. Then choose European countries or Other areas in Europe from the drop-down menu for geographical area.
The new set of European indicators will be further complemented during spring 2008. Data are available on the following topic areas: - Demographic and socio-economic factors - Health status - Health determinants - Utilisation of health services - Social and health care resources
The European data can be viewed numerically and also graphically ? except not in the form of a map ? and they can be exported in CSV or Excel format. A description of the data content of each European indicator can be found by clicking on the information icon link available on the left side of the indicator name.
