15.02.2008
The national development programme on social welfare and health care (KASTE) specifies development targets for social welfare and health care in the near future, as well as the key actions to be taken in order to attain the targets. The indicators for the PARAS project on restructuring local government and services, published in SOTKAnet in autumn 2007, are in conformity with the national KASTE programme.
The indicators for the KASTE programme aim to help find new actions to be taken so as to strengthen the ability to promote welfare and health. Some of the targets can be monitored at the municipal level, some others are national targets.
The aim for the municipalities is to: - Advance social inclusion and reduce social exclusion - Increase welfare and health and reduce inequalities in welfare and health - Improve the quality, impact and availability of services and reduce regional differences.
The indicators for monitoring target attainment total nineteen. SOTKAnet will first publish the completed key data concerning the targets. The data will be further complemented during year 2008.
