Institute for Health and Welfare (THL): Nordic Alcohol Statistics
The data have been gathered and updated based on the official statistics of each country. The responsibility for the compilation of these statistics rotates between the Nordic countries, with the task years (2010-2012) given to Norway.
Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark
The Nordic alcohol statistics are produced annually in cooperation between the Nordic statistic authorities. The statistics represent standardised data on alcohol sales, consumption, distribution, prices and some alcohol-related harms.
The consumption figures (documented alcoholic beverage consumption and sale) published in the statistics give a realistic picture of consumption trends in different Nordic countries although the undocumented consumption is not included in the figures.
